The stair master proves to be the hardest cardio machine in the gym. It always burns the most calories in the shortest amount of time. The reason it's so effective is because your working against gravity. You can burn an average of 360 calories in as little as 30 minutes.



2. Rowing Machine

The rowing machine is the most overlooked machine in the gym. Most people think that the rowing machine is only good for an arm workout; however, it utilizes 80% of your muscle mass and uses the entire body. The rowing machine can easily burn a quick 400 calories under just an hour during moderate intensity.



3. Elliptical

This machine when used properly has potential to burn many calories and have you working up a sweat in no time. It is less stress on the joints and when the correct forum is used you can work many muscle groups. According to Harvard Health Publications, riding a stationary bicycle at a moderate pace burns 210 calories in 30 minutes for an individual weighing 125 pounds, 250 calories in 30 minutes for an individual weighing 155 pounds and 311 calories in 30 minutes for an individual weighing 185 pounds.
